Abstract

Cosmethics are placed directly on the human skin, so the have a significant role in terms of national health. The cosmetic industry is a fashion industry which has a great deal of influences on national emothion, Since 1990, the consumption rate of cosmetics has increased, and the output in 1998 reached 3 trillionwon. The increase in the senior population has led to a heightened interest in aging, and consequently the role of cosmetics is expanding. Three major functions of cosmetics: whitening(removing freckles), anti-wrinkle, and anti-aging. The cosmetic industry is one of the most important industries which can enable to meet the fundamental needs of peoples. Recently, the concept of cosmetic has expanded to emphasize on the function of cosmetics. The development of allied technology has accelerated the production of multifunctional cosmethics. These functional cosmetics will be continuously improved into high quality products with multifunctions, and the cosmetic market size will be magnified.
